Job Title: Customer Service, Front Team
Pay Rate: Compensation to correspond with experience, starting at $17/hr
Job Type: Full time - Seasonal (May - October OR June - September 2022)
This individual must be dependable and responsible with a friendly disposition and enthusiasm for all things Scuba Diving and Snorkel related in the Fathom Five Marine Park. You will be the first face a customer sees when they enter the Divers Den to check-in for their tour or get information about what we have to offer.
The ability to learn quickly, multi-task and operate in a fast paced environment is paramount as we are high volume during peak season. With a busy Training Centre and 10 charter boats for our scuba divers and snorkelers, every day provides new challenges to learn and develop your skills.
Duties include:
Customer relations, answering all customer questions that call, walk-in off the street, or email. Checking customers in for tours, including taking payment and ensuring the completion of required forms/waivers etc, answering phones and fielding questions and taking booking information from customers, transferring to management as needed, keeping an eye on stock levels in store, receiving deliveries and accepting inventory and adding to stock, assisting with suiting customers in rental equipment if required, filling air tanks (training provided), basic equipment troubleshooting.
*Bilingualism is an asset, especially French or Chinese languages.
The location is in scenic Tobermory, Ontario where the clear waters draw a diverse group of divers and snorkelers. Tobermory was listed as one of the 25 Top Travel Destinations in the World in 2021!
